Raspberry Pi 3 is fully supported!

We have tested REX with the new model of the Raspberry Pi minicomputer and achieved very positive results.

On Raspberry Pi 3, you can reach the sampling period of 2 milliseconds even with the standard Raspbian Jessie. This holds for typical applications. For very simple tasks with high priority, you can go even lower.
