Development of virtual laboratories

Virtual labs are often used as a first step of rapid development cycle for following reasons

• they offer fast optimization of existing plant or machine
• they serve for a first development and simulation stage of new machine or plant or just their control system (MIL simulation).

For laboratories development, we use a special technique of automatic generation of Java simulation cores from models drawn from RexLib function blocks. Moreover, the core is compatible with Matlab®-Simulink®, so one can do an extensive simulations and analyses. The simulation core can be immediately deployed to any target real-time platform of REX control system. In such a way, the 100% compatibility of all three platforms is ensured including control and model structure, function blocks parameters and algorithms.
