History
The REX Controls company was founded by Miloš Schlegel and Pavel Balda in 2000. At that time, both co-founders already had years of experience in the field of automatic control systems (Škoda Plzeň, ZAT Příbram).
The following projects and technologies can be marked as milestones in the company history:
- Mohelno hydroelectric power plant, 2000
(validation of the developed PID control algorithms) - Active vibration damping in pipes, Plzeň, 2003
(porting of the RexLib library for the dSpace platform) - Textile carding machine, Liberec, 2005
(first hard-real-time platform, 1 KHz sampling period) - LR0 experimental nuclear reactor, Řež, 2007
(nearly perfect match between the simulation and the real control system) - HVAC testing laboratory, Moravian-Silesian automotive cluster, Ostrava, 2008
(extensive distributed control system developed by system integrator ELVAC) - Runtime version of the REX control system for Linux and Linux/Xenomai, 2009
